Monitoring and Result Measurements

At INA Leaders, we are dedicated to partnering with organizations to empower them in defining their theory of change, monitoring their progress, and making informed decisions. Our mission is to instill a results-based management approach that integrates monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes seamlessly into program implementation and decision-making.

We believe in the power of continuous improvement, where emerging lessons are promptly integrated into program decision-making to enhance the ultimate value and impact. Through our Monitoring, Reporting, and Management (MRM) initiatives, we strive to foster institutional capacity building.

We recognize the significance of enabling institutions to embrace evaluative thinking, thus enabling them to effectively monitor progress, assess impact, and make evidence-based decisions that drive positive change.

Labor and Capital: Major keys to the sustainable growth of Rwanda’s tech sector.

This project explores Rwanda's booming startup scene, positioning it as a rising innovation hub in Africa. While the surge in startups reflects a shift towards a knowledge-based economy, challenges in accessing capital and skilled labor hinder sustainability and growth. Despite strides in digital literacy, many startups struggle to secure funding. Initiatives like the ICT innovation center and private investors like RENEW are stepping in to address this gap, highlighting the importance of bridging capital availability and skill development for Africa's economic advancement.

PALLADIUM: GF-COVID-19 SURVEY REPORT

This project, known as the Improving Market Systems in Rwanda for Agriculture (IMSAR), seeks to enhance agricultural markets and alleviate poverty in Rwanda through a market systems development approach. However, the global Covid-19 pandemic disrupted international trade, affecting Rwandan exporters and putting smallholder farmers' livelihoods at risk. To address this, IMSAR collaborated with NAEB, exporters, and Ethiopian Airlines to secure cargo space and subsidize airfreight costs, ensuring the uninterrupted trade of fresh produce. This intervention aimed to mitigate pandemic-related risks, support key firms, and safeguard farmers' incomes and livelihoods along the value chains.

This project delved into the crucial role of livestock within Rwanda's agricultural landscape, serving as a cornerstone for economic growth and poverty alleviation. Recognizing the pivotal role of livestock in achieving food security, the Government of Rwanda has prioritized efforts to bolster protein availability. With a focus on identifying and resolving issues, the project aimed to analyze challenges and propose effective solutions within Rwanda's livestock sector.

Despite ongoing governmental initiatives, obstacles such as market failures in feed and breed production, pig housing inadequacies, and limited private sector investment opportunities persist. Proposed remedies encompass promoting private investment, facilitating better access to finance, and prioritizing genetic enhancements.

In parallel, the poultry sector confronts similar hurdles, including feed shortages and training deficits, necessitating interventions like increased imports of concentrated premix and comprehensive training programs. These collective efforts are geared towards mitigating market failures and fostering the long-term sustainability of Rwanda's livestock and poultry industries, ultimately benefiting both farmers and consumers alike.
